Tantawan Thai Kitchen is a Thai restaurant that has a quite large selection of dishes as seen in their extensive menu. My friend invited me to try it after raving about the pad see ewe, so that is the only dish I tried during my visit. It was nice that they let us bring in drinks from a drink place in the same plaza.
Food: I enjoyed my pad see ewe, as it was more on the saucy side. The flavor was there and consistent as sometimes restaurants don't mix the ingredients together very well, so each bite tastes a little different. The noodles were on the larger side but the beef was tender and the veggies were cooked through. It was a decent portion for lunch.
Ambiance: The ambiance wasn't the greatest but it was manageable. The restaurant had that feeling of not being super clean or organized when I first walked in. There are lots of tables and space. I was surprised how many tables there were.
Overall, based on my first visit, I'd come back and try the other dishes on the menu. I would recommend it though if you're looking for a Thai place to satisfy your cravings. Not the best, but not the worst. -

My absolute favorite! I love their coconut milk shrimp soup and their papaya salad!
I always try to hit this spot when I'm in the mood for Thai -

The flavor profiles of the dishes swing pretty heavily from dish to dish. Luckily I was sharing dishes family-style instead so I wasn't stuck with one flavor.
Of the dishes I had, only one I wouldn't recommend getting on it's own is the Tom yum soup. Tom yum soup is supposed to be a bit sour but the only word to describe the flavor of the tom yum soup here is SOUR. Was still good but coulda used a bit of heat or something. Their pad Thai was good. A bit on the saucier side. Their green curry was also really good but on the sweeter size. Their papaya salad was my favorite. Asked for mild cuz it still had a lot of heat to it which I loved. A refreshing dish with a kick. -

I have eaten a lot of Thai restaurants in LA and this place is truly excellent comparing to the others.
The flavor of the coconut curry here is on point, its not too sweet nor too salty. The spicy level is also accurate. If you ordered a "spicy", it's going to hit you a little bit hard but at the right amount. Also I'm giving a shout out to the The Pa Nang Curry I ordered, it was pack of chicken meat that are super tender.
Lastly, the service was great. The waitresses regularly check on us and fill our water glass. You should come check this place out! -

Mother's Day just past, so I thought we'd go out for dinner. I know my mom likes pad thai, so my brother said his friend suggested this place for thai food.
We ordered pad thai, tom yum soup, crispy pork, garlic and black peppercorn short rib, and raw shrimp papaya salad. I was too scared to eat the raw shrimp, so I just at the papaya salad. It was a bit sour, but a little too chunky for me. The crispy pork was definitely not for me. I've had like crispy pork cuts before, but this was like a different level of crispy for me. The texture was just so weird when I chewed on it and the flavor was not helping. Garlic peppercorn short rib was also a nogo. It just didn't taste good.
The tom yum was decent. It was more sour than spicy, but maybe because we ordered mild. They could have upped the spice level though, even if we did order mild. The pad thai was probably the best dish for me. I regretted not getting two orders of that instead of the short rib or so, since no one really liked it. The pad thai was flavorful and the noodles weren't overcooked. I just wished the quantity was higher. It seemed little compared to other restaurants I've been to.
I don't see myself coming back, but if I do, it'll strictly be for the pad thai.
